Internet: A satellite-based internet connection is available, allowing you to log in one device per guest at no extra cost. Because Antarctica is one of the most remote places on Earth, the connection may vary — sometimes a webpage loads slowly, and moments later a video call may work perfectly. The connection generally supports light browsing, emails, and messaging. Satellite phone service is available for an additional fee.

Dining:

L’Austral has two restaurants:
• Le Coromandel (Deck 2) — main dining room
• Le Rodrigues (Deck 6) — casual indoor/outdoor grill dining

Both offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner with open seating.

PONANT embraces its French heritage, and that is reflected in the cuisine. Guests will also find simpler options such as club sandwiches, burgers, and chicken dishes. Vegetarian and gluten-free meals are available.

Highlights include:

• Fresh pastries and an omelette station at breakfast
• Buffet lunch with comforting warm dishes such as lasagna, roasts, and baked fish
• Quality French wines poured generously at lunch and dinner, with premium labels available for purchase
• Classic French dishes like foie gras, wild boar, duck confit and more served at dinner

Additional options include:

• Outdoor seating in good weather
• Afternoon tea service
• Room service menu focused on comfort foods

International Flights: International airfare is usually not included. However, a pre-arranged travel package with domestic flights, hotel stays, and transfers is included from Buenos Aires or Santiago de Chile.

When booking through Arctic Desire, you may request a complete tailor-made travel package including your entire international journey.
