2. The Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Punta Arenas, you will be met by a representative from your ship and transferred to the hotel. Please arrive no later than 2:00 PM to attend the important briefing in the evening. Visit the hospitality desk at the hotel between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM to collect your luggage tags and clarify embarkation details.
You will be transferred to Punta Arenas airport for the charter flight to King George Island, Antarctica (weather dependent). The flight takes approximately one hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival, the expedition team will greet you and prepare you for the Zodiac transfer to the ship. Afterwards, you can settle into your cabin before the important safety briefings begin.
Arriving in Antarctica and seeing the first iceberg as well as breathing in the clear air are unforgettable. After arrival, you will explore the western Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands with many options and up to 24 hours of daylight. The experienced expedition team plans the best routes daily based on weather, ice conditions, and wildlife sightings, with landings or Zodiac excursions twice daily. You can visit penguin colonies, discover historic huts, and experience spectacular ice landscapes.
Enjoy a final morning landing in the South Shetland Islands before the return journey through the Drake Passage to South America begins. Lectures and film screenings round off the Antarctic experience and offer time for reflection and exchange. Become an ambassador for Antarctica and tell family and friends about your journey to promote the protection of this unique place.
Early in the morning, the ship cruises up the Beagle Channel and docks calmly in Ushuaia, where disembarkation can take place around 8:00 AM. Say goodbye to your expedition team and fellow passengers and continue your journey, hopefully with a new sense of the immense power of nature.
