In the morning, you travel from the Falkland Islands to South Georgia. While crossing the Polar Front, nutrient-rich waters with many seabirds and whales emerge. The route covers about 730 nautical miles.
4. Day to 9. Day: South Georgia
Arrival in South Georgia depends on the weather, with six landing days planned. The island is characterized by glaciers, fjords, and enormous colonies of king penguins, albatrosses, seals, and elephant seals. You visit various bays and beaches such as Elsehul, Salisbury Plain, St. Andrews Bay, Fortuna Bay, and Grytviken. There, wildlife observations, historical sites (e.g., Shackleton in Grytviken), and spectacular landscapes await you.

Between South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula, you can observe whales and seabirds such as fin whales, snow petrels, and kerguelen petrels from the ship. Lectures and photo workshops enhance the expedition.
12. Day to 17. Day: Antarctic Peninsula & South Shetland Islands
For six days, you explore Antarctica in its exciting pre-season, when ice recedes, penguins court and build nests. Volcanic islands like Deception with black beaches and steaming thermal springs, huge colonies of king penguins, elephant seals, and seals await you. Between mighty glaciers and brightly blue icebergs, whales glide through the quiet bays as you sail through legendary channels like the Lemaire Channel. Each day is an adventure – flexible, surprising, and unforgettable.
18. Day to 19. Day: Drake Passage
The famous Drake Passage connects South America with Antarctica and is rich in wildlife observations. Albatrosses and petrels accompany the ship, often sperm whales and dolphins are also seen.
