This expedition takes you from Ushuaia through the Drake Passage to the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula, where unique wildlife observations and breathtaking ice landscapes await you. Optional camping offers the chance to spend a night in the wilderness of Antarctica before you return via the Drake Passage, full of unforgettable impressions.

2. The Itinerary
Day 1: Ushuaia, Argentina
Arrival in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. After the welcome at the airport and check-in at the hotel, there is time to explore the city and its culinary offerings.
Day 2: Embarkation in Ushuaia
Use the morning for final explorations in Ushuaia. In the afternoon, embarkation on the expedition ship M/V Sea Spirit takes place, followed by a welcome briefing.
Day 3 to Day 4: Crossing the Drake Passage
The journey continues through the Drake Passage, accompanied by views of marine life and informative lectures that prepare for the Antarctic adventures.
Day 5 to Day 9: South Shetland Islands and Antarctic Peninsula
Exploration of the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula with their breathtaking landscapes and wildlife observations. The days are filled with Zodiac excursions, hikes, and the opportunity to experience the unique wildlife up close.
Day 10 to Day 11: Crossing the Drake Passage
The return journey through the Drake Passage offers another chance to observe the diverse seabird life and reflect on the expedition’s experiences. On-board celebrations conclude the journey.
Day 12: Disembarkation in Ushuaia, Argentina
After returning to Ushuaia, disembarkation takes place. A shared transfer takes you to the airport or city center, where the unforgettable journey ends.
