Your Trip at a Glance
With this trip, you visit the south of the Antarctic Peninsula at the end of the travel season in the southern hemisphere’s autumn. This is the time when whales in Antarctica are particularly curious, come close, and you have the best chance to catch a glimpse of these travelers of the seas. During the trip, you will also explore the highlights of the Antarctic Peninsula, take your first step on the white continent, and return home with a completely new perspective on the wonders of the icy landscapes on the 7th continent.

2. The Itinerary
Day 1: Ushuaia
Your journey begins in Ushuaia.
Day 2 to Day 3: Drake Passage
Crossing the Drake Passage.
Day 4 to Day 7: Antarctica
The route leads through snow-covered peaks and icebergs and offers the opportunity to experience diverse wildlife. First, you pass the Melchior Islands and the Schollaert Channel between Brabant and Anvers Islands. Possible visiting sites include Danco Island with its gentoo penguins and nearby seals, Neko Harbor with its enormous glaciers and Zodiac tours for close-up views of mountain peaks, Paradise Bay, where you might see humpback and minke whales during a Zodiac cruise, and Port Lockroy on Goudier Island, home to a former British research station that is now a museum and post office, as well as activities around Jougla Point with penguins and cormorants.
Day 8 to Day 9: Drake Passage
Crossing the Drake Passage.
Day 10: Ushuaia
Arrival in Ushuaia.
